Outlook 2003 Outbox Problem

Greetings!
I just installed Outlook 2003 yesterday. Today I began having trouble
with my Outbox. The problem is that messages hang in the Outbox. I
have to open the message and hit the send button numerous times before
the message is actually sent -- which, as you can imagine, is a pain.
Before you ask: I'm working in Online mode, not Offline. I would
surely appreciate any suggestions/advice that you may have so that I
can fix this annoying problem.

Dave,

Look at the "date" of the emails that are hung in your
outbox. The emails should have a date of "today", if
your emails have a date of "none" then this is your
problem.

I have not as of yet figured out the issue with this but
a work around is to send your emails immediately.

To do this from Outlook go to tools|options|mail setup
and check the Send immediately when connected box.

I hope this helps until a fix can be supplied by MS
