Outlook 2003 outbox errors.

I'm using a clean install of Windows XP (SP1 and all patches up to date),
and with a clean install of Office 2003, to insure a fresh, uncorrupted
registry and configuration. Under these conditions Outlook 2003 sends,
receives and handles emails flawlessly, until I install the Fax Mail
Transport account for the XP Fax Console (or install any other fax program,
such as WinFax 10.03).

Here is what happens once the Fax Mail Transport account is added: ALL new
email being sent is put into the outbox erroneously under the heading "Date:
None," and it is NOT flagged to be sent, and it cannot be sent by any means
that I have yet been able to conjure up. Merely uninstalling the Fax Mail
account does not resolve the issue. What does resolve the issue is to go
back to a restore point set BEFORE the Fax Mail account was installed, but
this does nothing to solve the reasons behind problems created when the Fax
Mail Transport account is installed. Happily, once the old registry and
maybe other settings are restored any previously un-sendable messages still
shown under "Date: None" can now be opened and will be correctly flagged as
"Submitted but not sent" when the send button is clicked, and they will be
uploaded normally to the mail server during the next send/receive cycle.

I currently have no way to compare the registry and/or other configuration
files before and after to know exactly what is getting changed when
installing the Fax Mail Transport account. I've spent several days
experimenting with no observable difference in Outlook 2003's outbox
behavior. So, I'd appreciate any helpful comments and/or guidance here.

Just found the cause of the Outlook 2003 outbox problem:
A COM addin (Scansoft PDF Converter Outlook Addin)
installed during the installation of Scansoft's OmniPage
Pro 14. Once this addin is uninstalled all problems go
away. But I had to uninstall the Scansoft PDF converter
from the Control Panel's Add/Remove Software applet, not
in Outlook itself, otherwise the addin reinstalled itself
on reboot.
