Outlook 2003 not responding every time

I am so frustrated with MS products. My upgrade to IE 9 made me unable
to print anything from a web page so after hours of &*^ing around with
it I dumped it and went back to 8.

Separately, last year, I converted to Mozilla for mail because of
repeated problems and the numerous well documented shortcomings of MS
Outlook. Having used Mozilla for a year, I just don't like the
interface. (At least it aways worked.) I decided to give Outlook
2003 a retry. I really do want to use Outlook and its calendar and
contacts features. (Note I would have used Outlook 2007 which I have
in my Office 2007 package, but the ribbon thing on excel is such a
joke I just reinstalled '03.)

Well, besides venting, the reason for this post is that Outlook 2003
gets hung up EVERY single time I use it. I think it might be when I
hit an email that has web content but I am not sure it happens so
frequently. Is there anything I can do to remedy this? My OS is
Vista Home Premium with 1.25GB RAM.

PS I have already created a new pst file.

More RAM would be great but seriously, zero computers come with 3-4
gigs of RAM (wihtout an upgrade) and all capably handle email.
Clearly, there are bigger problems here.

You're using Vista. You need more RAM. You could also try to run
scanpst.exe after compacting your .pst file.
