I know It's been driving me crazy. I quit the program but outlook is still in the task bar or worse I restart Outlook and it won't really work unless I restart my system.

They're working on it I guess.
see KB http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;827408&Product=out2003bcm

Seems that since i installed it while at my office it has to see that particular network in order to work correctly. Here i am at home and Outlook is not only crashing it is taking all my resources. The mistake was probably trying the new business contact manager. I've also learned that un-installs / re-install 2000 or XP are failing because 2003 leaves some dlls misconfigured. Dang!

I am having a similar problem (see Outlook 2003 Does Not
Shut Down - Nov 7 2003 6:36AM) but I am not connected to a
network. I installed it from my account, and it doesnt
shut down for me, however, it works fine using my wifes
account (on the same computer). So there is possibly
another bug in it.
