Outlook 2003 losing messages

Hi,

I've got Outlook 2003 (with all the latest patches installed) and I'm losing
messages. I connect to an internal pop3 server (not Exchange) and when
messages come into my Inbox I have rules set up to move them into
sub-folders.

I can see the messages when they first arrive in the "Unread Mail" folder
but when I browse to the folder they should be in they have gone...

I have seached my entire "Personal Folders" list but they have vanished. I
don't use any extra software (such as Mail Washer) just McAfee VirusScan
4.5.1 SP1

Is anybody else suffering with this?

I've found that deleting all the rules seems to stop this from happening -
good old Microsoft and their thorough testing regime.
