Outlook 2003 - logon security settings - what is the value of setting it to Kerberos exclusively?

In Outlook 2003 you have several options. Once your back end is on E2003,
you can support Kerberos only security versus Kerberos/NTLM.

What is the value of this? Faster failure if it doesn't authenticate? Faster
authentication in cross-forest SMTP authentication?

I'm trying to justify whether we change our client images or go back to
existing deployments after we move their mailboxes from 5.5 to 2003.

Thanks in advance,

Ed C.

I am not sure but I would suspect that with Kerberos/NTLM
it will try one then the other. The NTLM was the older
style.
