Outlook 2003 Issues with Recurring Meetings

I am using Outlook 2003 Calendar. When a user sends me a new meeting request
I am able to accept it with no problems. If they then send an update to that
meeting, when I try to acept it I get the message -- "The operation failed.
An object could not be found." The update appointment also states in the
header portion "This meeting is not in the Calendar. It may have been moved
or deleted." However when I look in my calendar the original appointment is
there. Why is it not seeing the appointment in the calendar and thus, not
letting me update it?

An additional problem I have is that I can not delete any meeting requests
that have been sent to me once they are listed on my calendar. I can only
delete appointments on the calendar that I have created.

I never had this problem before until I got 2003 at the start of this year.

Can anyone help?

Thanks.

I saw the same issue on two laptops where I work. I spent days researching
this problem with no solution. What it appeared to be was a problem with the
cached forms and the KB said to do "clear cache" and that didn't work for me.
I have since come up with a solution to the problem. You need to physically
delete the cached form file from your profile. Outlook with regenerate the
file when you run it again.

Close outlook and delete this file:

c:\documents and settings\user profile\local settings\application
data\microsoft\forms\frmcache.dat

Hope this helps!

Thanks, that did the trick for me, too. Missed the Local
Settings\Application Data at first. Noted the old/bad file size was ~
10Kb. New file size ~ 160Kb. Everything is working now.
