I
Ian
Already asked this once with no replies, anyone have any
ideas please?
I have installed Outlook 2003 and configured it to connect
to an IMAP email server using SSL.
Most of the time when I start Outlook and click to expand
the folder list for the connection the hourglass will
display for about a minute then a message will display in
the Windows taskbar:
"A connection could not be established <server name> is
now in offline mode".
After this it is not possible to use the "IMAP Folders"
command, however if I use send/receive the connection
seems to be restored and I can access the IMAP folders
again.
Presumably there is no configuration problem or nothing
would work?
My best guess is a fault in the software or an
intermittent connection problem to the server, any ideas
on how I could diagnose this further?
Thanks, Ian.
