My original installation of Windows XP crashed and I installed a new
installation of XP and of Office 2003. The original installation of windows
and all of my old data files are still on the hard drive. My question is how
can I import all of my old contacts and messages? Usually you would perform
the "Export" function from the old to the new first. Unfortunately Iyou never
know when you computer will crash. Can any one help?

This is a newsgroup for MS Access the database program. You should post
your question to microsoft.public.outlook to get answers for this. That
said you just import the old .pst file. It is in a hidden directory
normally in windows xp. If you didn't change the default you'll find the
file in C:\Documents and Settings\Your.Username\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook. The outlook news group should be able to provide
more details. Pete
