Hi,

Is there a way to automatically import email and contacts from Outlook
Express into Outlook 2003? I didn't see anything like that in the Custom
Install/Maint. Wizards. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Usually, when Microsoft Office 2003 Outlook is launched, it asks if you want
to make it the default e-mail and import, but sometimes it does not do that.

We just got through doing what you are wanting to do, which is to import
Outlook Express folders and contacts, calendars to Microsoft Office 2003
Outlook.

You may want to first export the contacts to an Excel file as:
File>Export>Text File -comma separated values.

You can then import the file into Microsoft Office 2003 Outlook or go
through the last paragraph of this reply message.

With Outlook Express you can find the "Store" folder by clicking on
Tools>Options>Maintenance>Store Folder (shows the path to use to import into
Microsoft Office 2003 Outlook).

In Microsoft Office 2003 Outlook, click on File>Import>Program or
file>Outlook Express 4.x, 5.x or 6.x >It will give a message about "no
internet ...", click OK>It then displays a message "Would you like to import
addresses and mail to Outlook?", just click on "YES" and it will discover and
import them.
