Office 2003
Windows XP
I have written an application for our marketing department to take an HTML
page and use it to generate an Outlook HTML email.
This is done using the shdocvw.dll Internet control to extract HTML and
image details from the web page and generate an Outlook HTML mail using code
from the Microsoft Outlook support web site.
This all works fine on my PC and our test PCs, but the marketing person
testing the app is reporting an unable to create activex control error.
Because we are in a different geographical location I am writing additional
error logging into the application but the only thing I can think is the
problem is the shdocvw.dll Internet control.
I have checked that they have the latest version of Internet Explorer
installed and they have the shdocvw.dll.
The only thing that seems strange in their setup is they can't use Word 2003
as their HTML editor.
Can anyone think what might be causing the problem?
