I purchased and installed Outlook 2003 on workstations
with a full version of Office XP Small Business. First it
wants to open in safe mode every time. Then it places an
icon in the sys tray. It hangs in memory and when it
closes will not reopen at the same thime the icon in the
ssystray locks up and is no longer accessable. If you go
to the task manager and look at the processes it will be
open several times there but not on the screen. As you
begin to terminate processes it will then launch. We are
running a exchange server and it does not seem to play
well with outlook...constantly trying to sync. There are
a multitude of other problems but I will not list them
here and now. I tried to remove outlook and office.
Reinstall Outlook first and then reinstall office (minus
outlook) around it-- no luck. I have removed all and
temporarily gone back to the original office product.
Would appreciate any suggestions.
