When Outlook 2003 is set to startup via a shortcut in the
Startup folder, MWAS gives a warning that the "Start up
program | ... Path | ..." (thoese are or bars for the
program name and path) is trying to start. This is
definately a scarry warning because some unknown program
with a name that looks like it is trying to hide something
is trying to startup. For a long time, we were just
blocking this unknown program.
I had to do a search by using MSCONFIG to disable things
to find out what this start up program was that was
causing the warning. There seems to be something wrong
with the program name and path reported here. (This is
not fixed in version 1.0.614.)
