Outlook 2003 Explorer and Headers

In Outlook 2003 Explorer, the bottom left hand corner show the number of
items in the view.

New to Outlook 2003 is that it also show the number of Headers so I might
see something like

"2 Items, 2 Headers"

What are "Headers' and where does Outlook get this information from ?

Have MS extended the call to IMAPITable::GetRowCount to provide this
information ?
 
Never Mind ....

Found out that with Outlook 2003 it makes two calls to GetContentsTable, the
second call is with a restriction on the property DownloadState.
