I have users that have just upgraded to Outlook 2003 from 2002. When they get an e-mail from an outside ISP mailbo
(like (e-mail address removed)), then try to forward the message to an Exchange user (Bob), the mail gets sent bac
to the ISP ([email protected] thru the ISP POP3 server), which is an invalid address and gets rejected.
Doing the same procedure in Outlook 2002 works as it should with the forwarded e-mail going to Bob on the
Exchange Server

I have 2 accounts defined: Exchange Server (SERVER) and POP3 ([email protected]
All setting are the same in 2002 & 2003

Outlook process e-mail for these accounts in the following order: Exchange POP

Microsoft won't discuss this without access to my wallet

HELP - my two users are very upset that they've lost the ability to forward to internal Exchange users !

Why is the the address of the Exchange user invalid? Is it because (1) the
ISP server rejects the address as being a relay or (2) because the address
is not valid on the Internet? If (1), you might try setting authentication
to the outgoing server on the account (press "More Settings...", then go to
the "Outgoing Server" tab). If (2), your options are to either make the
internal addresses valid on the Internet or to have the users select their
Exchange account (using the "Accounts" dropdown on the forwarded message)
when forwarding the message.

Jeff,

Thanks for the reply.

Option 2) did the trick. My users are speaking to me again!

Appreciate the feedback.
