Using Outlook 2003 / Windows 2000 - All updates & Service Packs.

At this time - the pc is viewing 5 office calendars. if you try to move
them on the left toolbar - reorder them; or if you are turning them on
and off and don't exactly hit the check box they dissapear.

the only way i can get them back is if i remove the mailbox from the pc
trying to view and resetup. is there a fix? otherwise i'm going back to
outlook xp because my guys need to be able to view each other's
calendar.

thanks!

I didn't have any problem getting a calendar back by using the Open a Shared
Calendar link again.

nope - doesn't work permantely. I can do that - but as soon as we close and reopen outlook they either don't appear or vanish when you click on them. This new calendar system is riddled with bugs; for example

1. It should be easy to rename your calendar - so other people can see it... instead everyone has 6 calendars - and they all read "calendar" ... we had to create a reoccuring event daily with everyone's name for now..

2. keep shared calendars perm. checked; everytime i open outlook i want to always see all my calendars in one view; not have to click them individually each time i want to view them. if my default calendar can stayed checked why can't the others

3. dissapearing calendars - if you roll the mouse over; select the check box; select the item and not the box; reopen outlook - whatever... they vanish. i have a very hard time believing i am the only person experiencing this..

4. color coding - can't seem to find the area where i can change the color of each person; figured it should be in properties... found a section on top menu that has something about color coding - that didn't seem to help either... ?

I'm sure there's more... but, I pretty much going to uninstall and put office xp back on...

I finally was able to duplicate this problem and several variations, which
means I can hunt for workarounds at last.

This new calendar system is riddled with bugs; for example:
1. It should be easy to rename your calendar - so other people can see
it... instead everyone has 6 calendars - and they all read "calendar" ... we

Normally, each calendar should bear the name of the mailbox owner. If it
doesn't, try a new Outlook profile.
2. keep shared calendars perm. checked; everytime i open outlook i want
to always see all my calendars in one view; not have to click them
individually each time i want to view them. if my default calendar can
stayed checked why can't the others?

Good feature request: Send to (e-mail address removed) and
(e-mail address removed).
3. dissapearing calendars - if you roll the mouse over; select the check
box; select the item and not the box; reopen outlook - whatever... they
vanish. i have a very hard time believing i am the only person
experiencing this...

It's quite hard to make this happen on demand, but I finally did it. Try a
new profile.
4. color coding - can't seem to find the area where i can change the
color of each person; figured it should be in properties... found a section
on top menu that has something about color coding - that didn't seem to help
either... ??

There's no setting for this. Colors are assigned automatically by Outlook
based on the order that the user selects the calendars for display.

box; select the item and not the box; reopen outlook - whatever... they
vanish. i have a very hard time believing i am the only person
experiencing this...

??? Thanks!

If you can provide exact steps that reproduce the problem every time, we can
send that to Microsoft to add to the information that they already have on
this issue. However, your #3 below did not result in any problem so we need
more detail than that.

Reinstalling the software will not make any difference. A new profile is the
most immediate and direct cure, at least temporarily.

mind. I'm guessing not enough companies have upgraded to Office 2k3 yet
otherwise this should be everywhere. I've reinstalled it multiple times;
and on multiple computers - no matter what it does the same thing. They may
work for a few days; or a week - two weeks - then they're gone. I can bring
them back via the "open shared" button - but, that rarely works correctly
either. I appreciate you taking the time to help but, is there anything I
can do to bring this to microsofts attention? I've also tried the updates
and those didn't help either (at first i figured it was the updates; now i
know it's not).
