Exchange server 2003, Outlook 2003. Win XP is the native OS W/ SP2 installed.
This so far has only happened to one outlook client. Creating a second
profile in Outlook for an Exchange connection, the profile builds without
error. When you launch this new profile the error message reads “unable to
open your default e-mail folders†This apparently is initiated from the
client as more so then not the message will appear before the Exchange server
challenge.
I can create IMAP or POP profiles that work as expected from the same
client. I can go to another client and cerate an Exchange profile with the
same UserID and not receive the error. A little stupefied here!
I’ve seen the references with the same error that Win98 had W/ Office 2000.
I’m a little reluctant to try a Win98 fix on a Win XP OS unless some has
actually proven this to work. All feedback is welcome and appreciated…TIA
