I have recently upgraded to Outlook 2003 and I have noticed that some emails
are disappearing - not there in any views and do not show up on a search.
They are not even in the deleted folder

I think in a few weeks use, three or four have gone. It is normally after a
resume from standby that I notice.

I lost one yesterday ( a reply sent to me), and when I looked for my
original in my sent folder, that had gone too!

I put the first two down to 'one of those things', but it is a bit
concerning now.

Cheers

I wonder if you're running into the same problem as me. As I indicated in an
earlier posting, I'm seeing exactly the same thing and a trace of the POP3
communication indicates that the message in question is being deleted from
the server without first being retrieved.

I can't see how this relates to the server when a copy in my sent folder has
gone too.

I have the 'group all replies with with original' feature set, so I am
wondering if Outlook has deleted both mails because of this grouping. Why it
has deleted them though is unknown - or even where they are.

I use Mailwasher, which deletes from the server, but the emails in question
were downloaded to outlook before mailwasher deleted them from the POP
server.

Did you find a resolution to this?

I'm having identical problems and I'm losing a lot of messages.

Todd.
