Hello. I have Outlook 2003 and I still use OE for my newsgroups. My e-mail
accounts are still there though I don't check for messages with that
program.

Problem is, after reading all my mail messages in both pop and http accounts
and closong the program, Outlook will redownload the same mesages and mark
those copies as unread. It doesn't matter if I mark them as read or delete
them, outlook will download them again anyway. Is this a bug or is there a
setting I need to change to stop this?

Thanks for any help,

Lou

Sounds like your email is being kept on the server. Check the More
Settings\Advanced\Delivery option on your email account setup.

Thanks,

I like having it set to keep mesages on server. In OE it allows me to view
messages from work and have then still viewable at home later. I never had
a problem with them being repetedly downloaded as new on the same machine
and on the same application.
