Has anyone any experience (and a FIX) of Outlook 2003
deleting contact records at random! Running XPPro on a
new PC, with Office 2003. I haven't tested this yet but
there may be a connection with XTNDConnect mobile phone
synchronisation software.

Nope. No reports of Outlook doing this.
Either do some more troubleshooting yourself or post enough information to
allow someone to help.

I have been having the same problem for several months (Outlook 2003
contacts disappearing) - just a few disappearing here and there. I
also have about 1,500 contacts with about 4 subdirectories. The only
entries I have noticed missing are in the primary/root Outlook
directory.

I also have exactly the same OS and software -- and it has happened
with both older ASUS and brand new Intel motherboards.

We still need at least something to go on. Which Contacts "disappear"? What
do they have in common? Are they in your Deleted Items folder? If you do an
Advanced Find for them, will they turn up? Are you running any
synchronization software?

I have never done this but can you autoarchive the contacts folder? Just a
thought.

No. Contacts will not archive automatically.
