outlook 2003 crashing-constantly

J

Jaime

No matter what I do in outlook it is constantly crashing on me. It
doesn't matter if I am in safe mode or not it just shuts down and
restarts.
These are the errors I am getting: faulting module ntdll.dll, faulting
mso.dll & outllib.dll. Any help someone can give me would be greatly
appreciated, I am really getting tired of this new 2003.
Thanks

Have you updated critical updates for both win and OL?
Are you using an OL unicode pst, or still using earlier version pst?

I have all the necessary updates. I am not sure what pst I am using, I
upgraded this machine from office XP and just accepted all the defaults
when I loaded office 2003.

Then you are using the 'old' format pst
Within OL, File>New>Data File (unicode), then copy data from old pst to the
new.
Once all required data copied close the old pst, ensure new is set as
default for mail / archive etc
This 'may' help if perhaps your old pst had problems

Thanks I will try that and see what happens.
