Outlook 2003 crashes

Outlook frequently crashes on my machine with "Outlook has encountered a
problem and needs to shut down" - this started happening about 3 weeks ago
about twice a day but today it has crashed at least 10 times. I have tried
Dectect and Repair, uninstalled and reinstalled it but none of this has made
any difference.

Anyone know how to put this right?

Event Viewer for one of the crashes shows:
Faulting application outlook.exe, version 11.0.6353.0, stamp 408f2937,
faulting module ntdll.dll, version 5.1.2600.2180, stamp 411096b4, debug? 0,
fault address 0x00064ed1.

In fact ntdll.dll seems to be causing the crashes each time.

Do I need to replace this file?

Many thanks for your help
