I have a PST file with all my contacts in it that was created with Outlook
2003. That machine is gone now, so I no longer have access to Outlook 2003.
My machine has Outlook 2000, which won't open the file.

I know how to fix this if I owned 2003, but I don't.

Am I just out of luck?

Thanks,

Tom

Yes. Only Outlook 2003 or 2007 could be used to both open this file and
transfer the data to an older format PST.

Then if I were you , I would download a trial version of Office (uninstall Outlook 2000 first), install the trial, and once Outlook 2007 is up and running, create the 97-2002 style .pst file and copy it to a safe location. Uninstall the trial and reinstall Outlook 2000 and open it using Outlook's File->Open->Personal folders file.

That's a good suggestion. I may just give in and upgrade to 2007, although
having tried the beta, I absolutely hate the new user interface.
