I have typed up a lot of contacts in Outlook 2003 for my
parents and when I brought the cd to their computer to
copy onto their Outlook 2000 it will not work. I
exported to a .pst file and also copied all of the
contacts separately. Will not copy over either way.
Help!

You'll need to create a new Outlook 97-2002 format .PST file in Outlook 2003
and copy the contacts to that, since Outlook 2000 can't use the new Unicode
..PST format that Outlook 2003 uses. Use File | New | Outlook Data File and
choose the Outlook 97-2002 option.

Hello Caroline,
In Outlook 2003 the PST is Unicode and 2000 is not.
What you want to do is export the contacts as a Commas Separted Values
(.csv)file. Then when you import into Outlook 2000 import as Commas
Separted Values.

It's not really necessary to switch to a completely different file
format...read my previous reply to the original poster for a more
Outlook-friendly solution :-)
