Hello,
My Outlook 2003 install (either in cached or non-cached
Exchange mode) comes up with the error "unable to display
folder. Network problems are preventing connection to the
Exchange Server computer" when I click on a public folder.
Outlook 2000 worked fine, and as an admin, I have rights
to all folders, so that's not an issue. I have
uninstalled/reinstalled, and researched, with no clue so
far. I connect to an Exchange 5.5 server. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Hello,
I resolved my own problem. You must have the Exchange
server(s) defined in DNS, and the client can resolve the
full FQDN, where previously Outlook could deal with just
the NETBIOS name of the server (in WINS). Once I put an
entry for my Public Folder Exchange server in DNS, I was
set.
