I re-installed my original Outlook 2003 after uninstalling Outlook 2007
evaluation copy. Since then, I have not been able to open any *.pst files
nor can I archieve any of my mails.

My Outlook 2003 crashes when I tried to open an *.pst file while I receive
"Error while archiving store "Personal Folders". The operation failed. An
object could not be found."

I just do not understand what could have happened. Anyone can enlighten?
Thank you very much.

Regards

I don't know what happened, but if I were in your situation I would try
to run scanpst (Inbox Repair Tool) against all PST files. Make sure you
have a backup of all your PST files before running scanpst.

I have done that as well but to no avail. It just could not recognise the
*.pst backup anymore.
I tried creating another archieve but still the application does not allow
me to.

Is this the same .pst file you used wtih Outlook 2007 or is it a copy that you made? If a copy, how did you create it? Where is it stored? If on a CD, did you copy it to your hard drive and remove the read-only attribute?

Dear Milly

This is the same .pst that I have been using from Outlook 2003 before the
upgrade to Outlook 2007 and later downgrade to Outlook 2003.
