Outlook 2003 - blocking attached EXE's

I'd like to make a rule to route everything with an executable attachment to
my junk mail folder - I can flag everything with an attachment but I'd still
like to let documents, etc., come through. My filtering is set to high and
the next highest level, allow only known senders, doesn't work for me.

Is this possible and, if so, how?

TIA.

You can't create a rule based on attachments name

Anyone else ever request this enhancement? It seems like a good thing to
me, e.g., to be able to block *.exe.

I like to block "replaced infected file.txt" from our McAfee virusscanner
:-D

If it gets requested enough it might make it in a future version, update or
add-in

exlife/inbox rules @ www.ornic.com *might* be able to filter on files...
also did you try a rule that look for .exe in the header? you might want to
add the has attachment condition in case (e-mail address removed) sends you a
message. <g> in my tests it will work on most attachments, including blocked
ones, but not all, depending on how they are embedded.
