Outlook 2003: Block background images?

I have someone who emails me who insists on using a background image
in his emails. I really don't want to see pictures in emails...they
are distracting. Is there a way I can configure Outlook to not display
background images in emails sent to me?

Depends. If they are embedded in the document, then I don't believe you
can.

You could always enable the "Read all standard mail in plain text" option.
