I have just started to use Outlook 2003. I seem to remember that in some
previous editions of Outlook I was able to set it so it automatically created
a new contact entry for people who I replied to. I can't seem to find this
option in 2003. Is it still possible or do I have to manually select add to
contacts each time?

Many thanks Russ.

No full versions of Outlook ever had the ability to add recipients
automatically to your Contacts Folder. Only the long abandoned IMO mode of
Outlook 98/2000 did that. To automatically add the email address of people
you respond to to your Contacts Folder requires code:

Hi PJ,

in addition to the posting of Russ Valentine, you could also try our
freeware program:

Public Contact after Reply for Outlook (Public CAR for Outlook) is a
freeware addin for Outlook, which create automatically an Outlook contact
after reply to an email.
http://www.publicshareware.com/outlook-public-contact-after-reply.html

also available on the microsoft server:

Maybe it helps.
