outlook 2003 and PDA

I just synced my outlook 2003 with my Sony clie after much tech support from
the Intellisync folks...The appointments in my calendar on the PDA are
showing up as NOT A MEETING..because I don't send emails to people about the
appointments, I just enter them. This is a real pain...does anyone know how
to override this?

Sounds like a PDA issue to me.

that's what I thought, but the tech support at the PDA/Sync program said it
was an outlook problem

I'd like to see his evidence, since plenty of people synch Palm-based PDAs
with Outlook and do not have this problem.
