OK, I'm at wits end. I have been happily using outlook 2003 for a few
months now. All of the sudden my email messages get popped from the
server, but do not show up in my inbox. They seem to be nowhere to be
found. I ran scanpst and it found errors and fixed it. My view is set
to all messages. There are no rules. It sends mail fine. It says it is
downloading my test messages, but they never show up in my inbox
(personal folder). I created a new personal folder and changed
delivery location. I created a new personal folder and told it to use
old PST format and changed delivery location. All has the same thing
happening. Did I get a hotfix from microsoft that screwed me up in
some way? Any way I can look at a log file to see where the mail may
be going? This is really frustrating and any help is appreciated.

OK, so that told me that it is Popping the mail off the server OK. It says
it is downloading messages, but nothing is showing up in my inbox.
Fortunaetly I am leaving mail on the server. So any ideas what to do?
Uninstall and reinstall office? Sounds drastic. It seems almost like a view
is being enforced even thiough it is not. What bothers me is how this worked
fine for months and then jyst stopped working. I am looking for help!! Any
ideas???

So, I uninstalled/reinstalled Outlook and still had the same problem.
I then unstalled/reinstalled Office 2003 pro. Outlook 2003 is now
functioning normal again. I have no idea what happened here, but know
that it is a pain for me to have had to do what I did to resolve this.
Oh well, any ideas what caused this problem?

Ken

Not really...probably could have been a lot of different things. The only
part I was sure about was that you could turn on diagnostic logging :-) If
you run into the same problem again, you might want to post the contents of
the log -- might help someone a little more knowledgeable about these issues
to help you troubleshoot the problem. Glad you got it working for now.
