Hi there,

A quick question: If wanted to add a security group to everyone's Outlook
calendar, and give that group Publishing Editor rights, how would I do it
using a GPO setting?

I have just inhertited a small network (50+ users) and need to create a
standard way for users to share their calendars -- and I am hoping the GPO
can do it.

We are using Windows 2003, with Exchange 2003, and all the clients ( apart
from 2 ) are using Outlook 2003.

Thanks,

it's not a registry setting so I don't think you can using gpo.

what version are the two other users on? there are some issues viewing
calendars in Ol2003 and older versions of outlook.

** Please include your Outlook version, Account type, and Windows Version
when requesting assistance **

The other two are on Outlook 2007.

Is there a script that can be run in the login process that will add the two
groups?

Thank you for the information on this tool .. it looks like it could do what
I want it to do ... if I could get it to work...

If I log in with my Exchange Admin credentials, and and set "All Mailboxes"
it does not return any information.

But, if I use "Specified mailbox" it gives me all the information on that
mailbox.

Is there a security setting I need to change for this to work?

Wrong tool. What you need is the free PFDavAdmin tool from
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=635BE792-D8AD-49E3-ADA4-E2422C0AB424.
It can manage mailbox folder permissions, as well as public folder
permissions.

You would appropriate access to the mailboxes (Owner? I'm not sure), of course, and an Exchange Admin account by default does not have that. Best to ask in the microsoft.public.exchange.clients newsgroup, where the admins who use this tool regularly can be found.
