Outlook 2003 and GMail

Gmail account is setup.
I have set it up on OE before and Outlook 2003.

I have it set up and send and receive works fine.

*Problem - Inbox has none of my mail from gmail.

It should be stored in the local folders. It is not.
Nothing is there.
I have other accounts that work. An HTTP and an IMAP.
I have gmail as a pop3 account. I cant find any documentation on this.

Any Ideas?

There is an issue with gmail that makes it unlike any other POP server. It
apears that if you read a new message in your gmail Inbox with the web
interface, gmail will mark it read internally and will NOT download it to
Outlook once it connects. Perhaps this explains what you are seeing. If
not, post back.
