Our company shares a common address book via MS Exchange. This works just
fine in Outlook except for one thing. Is there a way to connect the
"Contacts" button in Outlook 2003 to this common address book? Thanks!

I provide support at an institution of higher education. This include
support for staff and faculty as well as for students
We have Microsoft Exchange 2003 (for not quite one full year) and al
furnished clients are Outlook 2003 as part of Office 2003 STD o
folks are also able to use Outlook 2003 Web Access
Last week one staff member sent a distress-call email informing m
that her Contacts file is empty, no entries at all. At the time
thought this was a fluke
After Friday work on a notebook PC of a faculty member, that perso
sent me over the weekend another email indicating that there are n
Contacts (no contents) in his as well. Since this seems to hav
happened two times, I will need to do further investigation
The faculty member's complaint had been on email failure afte
connecting through dial-in. The dial-in worked fine but, the facult
member reported, the notebook computer would quickly disconnect
I updated all Windows XP Home critical updates. I also did "Sho
Profiles" and then did a "New" (Add) Profile specifying the correc
information. To my knowledge defining a profile with a new nam
(display) should not have any effect on contents of Contacts file. D
you agree
In the case of the staff person, I had just changed to "cached" mod
in order to activate Microsoft's wonderful Junk email filter, whic
works for me just about a hundred percent. Is it possible that th
cache has just not been refreshed enough to populate the Contact
now
