Outlook 2003 Address book not updating e-mail list

I'm having problems with my distribution list. When I delete an e-mail
address from the list, it still shows up when creating the e-mail. If you hit
the plus sign and expand the list the deleted e-mail appears. Is there a way
to clear the auto-fill e-mail cache? Thanks for your help in advance,

Justin

Did you save the DL after opening it and deleting the member?

Make sure you're not loading the DL from the autocomplete cache. Delete it when Outlook pops up the autocomplete suggestion.

I don't believe I come across an auto-complete suggestion. I click on the to:
button and scroll down to the distribution list. This auto-populates the to:
field with DL name. There is a plus button to expand the list and when
expanded it has one user that was deleted months back. Is there a way to
delete the autocomplete cache as well as back it up in other cases?

The entire autocomplete cache is in the .nk2 file with the same name as the mail profile, but your description clearly indicates that it's not involved. I'd open up the DL and whack it.

And then I'd remember all the reasons that I've been told not to rely on DLs.
