My customer has brand new Dell pc that came w/ Office 2003. imported all her mail from old PST file from Outlook 2000 on her old pc, as well as contacts & such. all this worked OK.
set up her Outlook to: send & receive from local MS Mail server on the network; also to send & receive email from outside POP/SMTP account with outside ISP. 99% of the time, this works great.
occasionally, Outlook refuses to send. most of the time this error comes up, it's when trying to send internal email (MS Mail server). it has happened once or twice with outside email.
the error is "Task 'Microsoft Mail - Receiving' reported error (8004010F): The operation failed. An object can not be found'.
have already tried uninstalling & reinstalling Outlook. user profile set up w/ defaults, only put in location of internal/external email servers.
this error is VERY INTERMITTENT, and we can find no commonality that would point us in the direction of a solution.
