All my account settings are correct for my e-mail
accounts. When I test the settings all green checks are
recorded. The problem comes when receiving e-mails. It
goes through the motions but nothing shows up in the inbox
for my profile. When I start outlook express, which I was
using prior to the upgrade, it downloads the messages
properly.

I've gone through every setting I can find yet have not
been able to find the one that is blocking the downloading
of the messages to my inbox.

Any suggestions?

Do you have any rules defined that might be moving the messages to other
folders upon arrival? Do an Advanced Find and try searching for messages
received today -- see if they appear in other folders.

That's not the problem. There are no rules.

Outlook is not downloading the messages from the server to
the client's inbox. It goes through all the send and
receive messages but when I open the inbox, nothing.

When I access that same account using outlook express, all
the messages are downloaded and deleted from the server.

Could it be something to do with other accounts that
exisited on this computer before? I deleted those
profiles.

Also, I cleaned Swen and Klez from this computer using
Norton's tools. Any chance there may be some file
corruptions?

Try enabling e-mail logging and examine the log file after attempting to
download messages -- if you don't see anything obvious in there, post the
contents of the logfile here. I'm not sure I'll be able to help with
interpreting it myself, but perhaps someone else will. The procedure for
enabling logging is given here:
