Windows XP, Small Business (54188-OEM-1790756-23295) ah yes, SP 1, 2 & 3
I hope that is enough info to start with. I never had cause to use Outlook
but recently I got Adelphia, dsl, and I want to use Outlook. No Go. I click
on the icon - it opens, I see the icon, the PID, and it freezes. It doesn't
budge.
I went in through the Network Connections and tried to set up the link to
Adelphia -- she ain't going nowhere. I take Small Business off, I put it
back on, I repair, I take off, I put back on, I turn around three times and
spit north while uttering a chant -- still -- No Go.
Under properties I did find one thing interesting -- under InstMsi it is
stated "Wrong OS or OS version for application" -- uh, ok. I have version
5.0.810.503 (I think). I go off looking for InstMsi.exe all I find out is
that they are no longer callin IT by THAT name any more.
Help desk at Dell wants to help themselves to $35.00 for a system I bought
independent of their pc. It doesn't make sense.
Can anyone advise me on how I get Outlook to at least OPEN?
That would be good for a start.
Any, and all, feedback is greatly appreciated -- Jonathan
