Running Outlook 2003 SP3 and just recently started to get a message about a
program trying to access the addresses.

I do not open anything I don't know who the sender is. I am running Norton
AntiVirus uptodate and just did a sweep. I have run the w32.Netsky.x and
w32.Swen.A cleaners. I am uptodate on Office Update.

Anyone have an idea of how to track down the program trying to access
Outlook?

Apologies ahead of time if cross posting is not appreciated.

Check out http://www.infoworld.com/article/04/03/12/HNofficexpfilters_1.html
if your using Office XP and just updated to SP3

"Office XP update interferes with spam filters
Users complain of security warnings popping up with each e-mail message
received"

Don't know if the is causing other problem. I have one machine that pops the
message up eveytime the guy clicks create new mail button and we have no
spam app running

See http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2002sp3.htm#problems for a list of
programs known to cause problems. It's by no means complete but as I learn
of programs affected by sp3, I'll add them to the list.

Are you using word as your editor? If so, does it stop id you switch to the
outlook editor? If yes, then look for word addins or macros as the culprit.

Hi!

Here's one that you can add to the list: Incredimail for Outlook plugin.

IncrediMail has a solution for that on their site.
The new build 1431 can be downloaded at:
