Outlook 2002: Unable to receive email

I am starting a new thread to keep the problem focused.

I recently was able to recover and repair a corrupted .pst file in Outlook
2002. Everything is now in place but for one. That is, while I can send
email, I cannot receive. Instead, all email addressed to my Outlook 2002
accounts are received in Outlook Express.

When I try to receive in Outlook 2002, “Operation Failed†pops up. If I try
to look at my send/receive groups (or establish one) I get no response at
all. And, just this morning, the following message appeared on my screen:
“Unable to update free/busy data. Operation Failedâ€

Does anyone have a solution to this?

If you use Test Account Settings, do you get an error on the results? IF
yes, please post the exact error.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. All
unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without
reading.

After furious head scratching, Adprof asked:

I do not get an error message, for any of my three email addresses. Rather,
the test messagees are received in Outlook Express
