When I open Outlook and begin reading email, as I go from one message
to the next, Outlook gets slower and slower, until by the time I have
read 8-10 messages Outlook is locked up and shows as not responding in
Task manager. At that point, it also shows Outlook using 95-98% of
the CPU continuously. Watching the CPU usage as I go through the
emails, I can see the CPU usage get higher and higher with each
message read. It will reach the point where it hits 95-99%, then drop
back down to zero, but then on subsequent messages it take longer and
longer to get back to zero, until after a couuple more messages it
doesn't come down at all. This occurs both when working online and
offline, and in both my *.OST and *.PST files.
Running XP Pro Tablet Edition and Outlook 2002 on a HP TC1100 Tablet
PC.
I have seen at least two other postings with this same problem, one of
which was also a TC1100, but I have yet to see any suggestions for a
solution.
