hello everyone,

I have outlook 2002 in my computer and am running windows
xp professional, which is upgraded from 98se. I want to
set up outlook, but don't know what to do!
The first time I tried outlook after the upgrade there
was a wizard which would have helped me, I didn't know
what the heck this was at the time, and closed it. Now
obvioulsy it doesn't show up again (from what I
understand it only appears the first time you attempt to
use outlook after the upgrade/installation). I can get
into outlook just fine, but can't send, view, or retrieve
e-mail!

I'm sure there is a way to still set this up, but I have
no idea!

Anyone who could provide me with detailed set
up/configuration instructions would be of great help.

Thanks everyone,
Luis

thanks for the tip. Yes my problem is here in step 3.
3. Choose HTTP as Server Type | NEXT
The HTTP option is greyed out, so I am not able to select
it. All other options are available.

Is there a setting I may be able to change so this option
becomes available??

Thanks,

Mary

Hi again,

Are you using the MSN Outlook connector? Look for disablehttp key here:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Outlook\Options

1 = disable

Tip is from Diane Poremsky two postings after yours
