Ever since I installed the hotfix for the latest virus my machine no longer
automatically does a Send/Receive. I had it set to every 5 minutes and to
automatically send emails I complete. They are still set to that but it
doesn't work. I have to manually press Send/Receive or F5.

Does anyone know how I can get this working again?

I am running Outlook 2002 on an XP machine connected to the internet through
my cable modem.

Thanks,
Peter Chave

Are you receiving any error messages? Are you using any
anti-viral protection programs that are scanning emails,
worms and scripts?

Peter,

I'm having the same problem. I just installed Office XP
and I don't receive any emails automatically. How did
you set it to receive every 5 minutes? I posted a message
last night asking for help. I have DSL...

In outlook, go to tools, options, mail setup, send/receive. The options for
auto send recieve are there!!

I'm having this same problem, cable modem and all. I didn't change anything and it just started yesterday. I just downloaded an update to my virus scanning software and it didn't make a difference. My email is getting out and I'm getting at my email directly at my POP3 account. The most amazing is that the send/receive status seems to decrease the longer it goes on!!
I noticed a hot fix for send/receive for Outlook 2002 - did you apply that? If so, (a) Where did you get that? (b) Did it work?
