Outlook 2002 profiles

What I've been able to do easily in Outlook 2000 I see no way to do in 2002.
How can I create two profiles in Outlook 2002 that share a common .pst file?
In each profile the .pst file would be the only .pst file, in other words it
would be "Outlook Today".

Thanks very much for any advice.

Oliver,

Thanks for your help, but this site does not address what I asked about.
Recall that I said "two profiles and one .pst file [only]". This is very
easy in OL2000 but I do not see how to do it in OS2002.

Do you know how to do this? Thanks again.

David,

the different between Outlook 2000 and 2002 to use the same PST in 2
profiles are only different in the settings.

If you go under Control Panel/Mail (doubleclick), "Show profiles" here you
can copy your profile and you can renamed the profile in "profile coworker"
(or ny other name). All settings will be copied, also the PST file and
emailaccounts.

You have also select under Control Panel/Mail (doubleclick) the setting
that you want to be ask if you start Outlook which profile you want to use.
If you copy a profile, both profiles will be use the same PST and also the
same emailaccounts. Of course you can change the settings in the copied
profile (emailaccounts).

Does this information helps?

it is as easy as it is in OL2000. You need only 2 profiles, have a look on

I have the same requirement, one pst file with multiple profiles. I just moved an Outlook pst file from a Windows 98 PC to an XP machine. When I open Contol Panel/Mail there is no "Show Profiles" button. What do I need to do to enable multiple profiles?

Thanks,
Jeff

Hi Jeff,

Thanks,
Jeff

if you go under "Tools" in your outlook menu, do you see "Email-accounts"?

Than you are in the IMO (Internet Mail Only mode).
Outlook 98 and Outlook 2000 have 2 doifferent modes. CW
(Corporate/Workgroup) mode and IMO mode.
The different between this and how to choose the mode:
http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/choosingmode.htm

You will get only different profiles in the CW mode, but you can not send in
this mode with different email accounts, but have a look on the slipstick
website for a lot of information about the different.

I hope it help.
