Recently I installed a home network linking two laptops and a desktop via a broadband router. I am using Outlook 2002, XP Professional and all software has been recently updated. It is a simple setup.

I have mutiple POP3 accounts and have never had a problem sending or receiving mail or selecting any of the different accounts

Currently, I can reply to an email and Outlook correctly choses the email address to send FROM in the reply

The problem is I CANNOT chose a different email address other than the default account when sending a NEW email. I also cannot change the FROM email address when replying to an email. I get this error message
" Unable to complete the operation A fatal error has occured in Outlook.

The problem is identical on each of the 3 computers

Any help would be appreciated

Thank you

And

1. Is Outlook closed on the other 2 computers?
2. When did this start happening?
3. Did you apply SP-3 for Office XP?
4. Have you tried a new mail profile on the machines?
5. Are you sharing the .pst file from a network or shared drive?
