Outlook 2002 crashes when opening calender items

when one opens an appointment in the calander in outlook 2002
for the second time, one gets logged off outlook
and one is forced to restart outlook, this happens
every time an appointment is opened for the second time, this
happens generally for all users in the domain


we are running exchange 2000 sp3
 
What's logged to the Event Viewer regarding this?
Does it work in Outlook Safe Mode?
Start-> Run; outlook.exe /safe
 
Hi and thank you for a prompt reply, nothing is recorded in the application
log and outlook just crashes and exits instantly,

we tried in safe mode but outlook behaved in the very same way as before

When Outlook crashes there must be something logged in the Event Viewer,
there is not really a way around it. Make sure you are looking in the
Application log.

What did you change in the network before this happened?
Have you checked the logs on the Exchange server? You might need to run some
integrity checks on the database.

Hi Roady, we have more exchange servers than microsoft :-) and it almost
happens to all users, interestingly my outlook profile/user is not affected
by this, but my coworker who has his mailbox on the same exchange database as
I have mine, is indeed affected by this ....and nothing is written to the
application log
