Hello everyone,

I'm having a strange problem and was wondering if anyone can help.

I have a list of contacts on my Exchange profile. If I click on conatcts,
they all appear w.o any problems.

But when I try to send a message, I hit the "To" button. I then select
"Contacts" and nothing appears, not 1 contacts.

Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this. I tried to create a new Contacts
folder called "Contacts2" I copied over the contacts to it. I then tried to
send another email, hit the "To" button, selected Contacts2 and none of the
contacts are visible..

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

Thank you for the reply Brian

That option is already checked.

If it wasn't checked, "Contacts" wouldn't appear at all when you hit the
"TO" button and hit the arrow for the drop down menu under "show names from
the"

Any other ideas?

thx

But your very words were:

So, either contacts appear or they do not. You are contradicting yourself.

ok, I may have re-worded it incorrectly then

When I hit "to" and click the dropdown under "Show Names from the" this is
what appears:

Outlook address book
-contacts

I click on "contacts" but none of the actual contacts display on the left
hand side panel. It's just blank.

The name "contacts" appears but when I try to view the list, it appears that
nothing exists in contacts b/c it doesen't display anything.

Hope this makes sence to you

This indicates to me that you're referencing the wrong Contacts folder.
Click Tools>E-mail Accounts>View or change existing directories or address
books>Next. Select the Outlook Address Book service and click Remove. Stop
and restart Outlook. Click Tools>E-mail Accounts>Add a new directory or
address book>Next. Select Additional Address Books and click Next. Select
Outlook Address Book and click Next., then Finish. Stop and restart
Outlook. Now right-click your Contacts folder, choose Properties, select
the Outlook Address Book tab, and check the box labeled "Show this folder as
an e-mail Address Book". Click OK. Now open a new message and click To.
Select the Contacts folder from drop-down. Do things look any better?

Thank you for the suggestion

I tried it but still no luck.

Then there's still something you're not telling us. The procedure I posted
completely removes the Outlook Address Book service and re-adds it, starting
things afresh. Either you didn't follow the procedure correctly or you've
not given all the details. I can't guess what you haven't done, so unless
you get very specific, I'll not be able to make any other suggestions.
