When I type in the beginning of my email
addresses,(first 3 letters) the name does not comes up
but the email address does work if you drill down in to
search. Tried Q292882 NO JOY- have changed to another
users profile on same Pc still no joy- Email messages
tools -option- e-mail options- advanced email option - is
ticked to allow search.

Tim,

The information you seek is stored in a hidden, system file called an NK2
(autocomplete cache). The name of that file is the same as the profile
name. It becomes populated from outgoing e-mail addresses. If you did a
reply-to or just entered an e-mail address with no name that is how it will
be stored in your autocomplete cache.

We wrote a utility called Owtlook which will let you edit data in that file.
You can download a demo version which will let you look inside of your NK2
file(s). It can be found at www.dcs-imaging.com/products.htm. This should
give you an idea as to how your information is stored.
