Does anyone know where the signature preference is stored for the Outlook
profile? I'm trying to use the Office Save My Settings Wizard to export
users settings. There is a company that put together a kit called the Flex
Profiles Kit. This utilizes the Save My Settings Wizard from the Office
Resource Kit.
Basically, what's happening is that the HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office key
and all subkeys/values are being exported on log off to an OPS file. Then,
upon logon, this OPS file is then imported into a Mandatory Profile. This
OPS file contains the users preferences. I am also redirecting the
Application Settings folder on the client to a central resource (unique to
all users), using a GPO. The users signature is preserved, but the
preferred signature isn't selected, and the user has to re-select it for
"Signature for new messages" and "Signature for replied and forwards" within
the Options/Mail Format window.
Thanks,
Chris
