I want to define through a GPO the Exchange server settings and mailbox for
users of Oulook 2002. The workstations are all XP Pro on a Server 2003
network. I've downloaded the Oulook10 .ADM, but there is no option to set
it. Is it possible to configure these two options for Outlook 2002 through a
GPO. We don't want our users to setup Outlook on their own. Thanks.

.
FDR,

There should be a way to do this via GPO / .adm file.
IIRC, there is a way with the Outlook 2000 .adm file. I
have done it recently if I am not mistaken.

However, there is another way: with a .mst file. When I
install Office 2000 I usually do it via GPO to the user
configuration and I make use of .mst files. You can set
all this information up in that .mst file ( which you get
when you install the ORKTools.exe and you need to use
ADVANCED ASSIGN - or Advanced Publish ).

HTH,

Yes, you need to create a MS transform (.MST) file that
has these settings configured. You can create this
transform file using the Custom Installation Wizard from
the Microsoft Office XP Resource Kit Tools. The resource
kit can be downloaded off of technet.

This wizard is specifically used to customized MS Office
installs through GPO.
